Join Our Launch Team

our Launch Vision

At U-Turn we are actively recruiting to create a 45-member launch team that helps build a strong and healthy foundation before the church officially opens. This team becomes the relational core and volunteer backbone of the new church. They carry the vision, create a culture of hospitality, serve in essential ministry roles, and actively invite others. Our plan is to “launch strong” rather than start small and struggle—because a well-prepared launch team creates momentum, excellence, and a warm, life-giving environment from day one.

Why Join?

  1. Chance to grow spiritually

  2. Opportunity to reach more people

  3. Get to help form something from the start

  4. Opportunity to use your gifts and talents

  5. Meet new people and have a lot of fun

  6. Be a part of helping our community

  7. Find your purpose

U-Turn Church
Leadership Covenant

“To whom much is given, much is required.” – Luke 12:48

We’re so grateful that you are stepping into leadership. At U-Turn Church, we believe leading is both a calling and a covering - a sacred invitation to partner with God in the redemption of humanity and the renewal of the world. When you step into leadership, you step into a place of spiritual influence, and with that comes both joy and responsibility.

Leadership isn’t just about tasks or titles; it’s about carrying the heart of Jesus into every room you walk into. It means leading with humility, integrity, and courage, even when it’s hard.

We also recognize that spiritual leadership can bring opposition - moments of discouragement, distraction, or difficulty. That’s why alignment, clarity, and accountability matter so much. This covenant is a tool for unity and protection. It helps us lead from the same heart, the same mission, and the same biblical foundation. Our goal isn’t perfection, but progress and partnership as we lead together.

OUR MISSION

We exist to be a church family marked by Spirit-empowered worship, intentional discipleship, true fellowship, and compassionate outreach.

Our Core Values

1. Unity

We are a church united in a world divided.

2. Honor

We want to practice honor and respect

3. Generosity

We live with open hands and open hearts.

4. Dream

Dream big with God

5. Believe

We have confidence in our calling.

6. Excellence

We do what’s right, even when it’s hard.

7. Serve

Our purpose and confidence are rooted in Him.

What We Believe

U-Turn Church is rooted in Scripture and built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Whether you have a deep relationship with God or are simply spiritually curious, you are welcome here. We believe that theology should lead to transformation — helping us love God and love people more deeply.

While everyone is welcome to belong and grow in our community, those who step into leadership are called to intentional alignment with our beliefs and a sincere devotion to growing in Christ and leading others toward Him. Leadership at U-Turn means embodying the way of Jesus and helping others walk in it.

We summarize our beliefs in three simple principles:

The Essentials of Our Faith

1. The One True God

There is one eternal God, Creator and Lord of the universe, who exists in the unity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God governs all things according to His will and is accomplishing His purposes in the world and in His church.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10–11; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6

2. The Deity of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His ascension to the right hand of God.

Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31–35; Hebrews 7:26; 1Peter 2:22; Acts2:22; Acts10:38; 1Corinthians

15:3–4; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 1:3

3. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, empowers, and guides believers. He indwells every

Christian, producing the fruit of the Spirit and equipping the church for mission and ministry through spiritual gifts. John 14:16–17; Galatians 5:16, 22–23; Luke 24:49; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11

4. The Bible

The Holy Scriptures are inspired by God’s Spirit through human authors. The Bible reveals God’s truth to humanity, is wholly trustworthy in all it affirms, and is our supreme authority for faith and conduct.

2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12

5. The Gift of Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His perfect obedience, sacrificial death, and resurrection, Jesus secured our redemption. Each person is justified and reconciled to God by faith, not by works.

John 3:16; Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–9; 2 Corinthians 5:17–21

6. The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ, consisting of all who have placed their faith in Him. We are called to worship God, love one another, serve our world, and make disciples. Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 1:22–23; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Peter 2:9–10

7. The Hope of Eternity

Jesus will return personally, visibly, and in glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish His eternal Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body and everlasting life for the redeemed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Matthew 25:31–46; Revelation 21:1–5

8. Ordinances and Institutions

  • Water Baptism: Following faith in Jesus, every believer is commanded to be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - symbolizing new life in Christ.

Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 8:12, 36–38; Romans 6:3–4

  • Communion: In obedience to Jesus’ command, we regularly receive the bread and the cup in remembrance of His sacrifice for our sins.

Matthew 26:26–29; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23–25

  • Marriage: We believe marriage is a holy covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His Church. Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:25–33

9. The Sanctity of Life

We believe all human life is sacred and created by God in His image — from conception to natural death. Every person bears intrinsic worth and is deeply loved by God.

Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Genesis 1:27

Character & Conduct

  • Strive to live in a manner worthy of the gospel. (Philippians 1:27)

  • Walk in humility, self-control, and holiness.

  • Guard your heart and your integrity, both publicly and privately.

  • Choose what honors God over what pleases people.

  •

Speech & Social Media

  • Use words that build up and bring grace. (Ephesians 4:29)

  •  Avoid gossip, foul language, or divisive talk.

  • On social media, represent Jesus and U-Turn Church with wisdom.

â—‹ Avoid posting or engaging with content that could cause confusion, division, or harm, including images involving alcohol, immodest or suggestive photos, or arguments about controversial or divisive topics.

â—‹ Before posting, ask: Is it Truthful, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind?

â—‹ Use your platform to build unity and reflect the character of Christ.

  • Whether online or in person, as a leader it is important to remember that you represent Jesus and U-Turn Church to our community.

Lifestyle

Alcohol

Model wisdom and moderation in all things, including alcohol use. (1 Corinthians 10:23) We ask that no alcohol be served or consumed at any U-Turn Church–sponsored gatherings such as Community Groups, Team Meetings, or Events. In personal life, leaders are expected to exercise maturity, self-control, and discernment, refraining from drunkenness and being mindful of how choices may influence others. (Ephesians 5:18; Romans 14:21)

Illegal Drugs

We also ask leaders to refrain from the use of illegal drugs or the misuse of prescription medication, and to avoid any form of substance dependency that hinders clear judgment, godly leadership, or healthy living. (1 Corinthians 6:19–20; Galatians 5:1)

If you are struggling with any form of addiction, please know you are not alone. We want to walk with you toward healing and freedom, not shame or isolation. (James 5:16)

Sexual Conduct

In matters of sexual conduct, we believe God’s design for sex is within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6) Leaders are expected to live in alignment with this biblical standard, refraining from premarital or extramarital sexual activity, cohabitation outside of marriage, and pornography or other sexually explicit content. (1

Thessalonians 4:3–5; Hebrews 13:4) We recognize that none of us are perfect, but we are called to walk in accountability, repentance, and grace as we pursue holiness together.

Leadership Commitments

Active Participation

Be a visible, consistent presence at Sunday services, community groups, and gatherings. Lead by showing up—faithfully, joyfully, and on time. (Hebrews 10:25)

Unity & Communication

Speak well of others and communicate clearly. If you’re unable to serve or lead as scheduled, please reach out as soon as possible. Follow through on commitments and arrive on time, ready and joyful to serve. Leadership means modeling faithfulness in both attitude and action—doing all things as unto the Lord. (Colossians 3:23)

Talk to people, not about people. Handle conflict directly and graciously, seeking understanding and unity.

Spiritual Growth

Make your relationship with Jesus your top priority. Remain teachable, prayerful, and hungry for God’s presence. (John 15:4–5)

Culture-Carrying Leadership

Lead with joy and excellence. Create environments where people feel loved, valued, and seen.

Model the fruit of the Spirit in every setting. (Galatians 5:22–23)

Generosity

Give sacrificially as an act of worship and partnership in the mission of the church. We recognize that generosity often begins with intentional budgeting and creating margin so that giving can be a consistent rhythm, not an occasional act. Remember, it’s not about equal amount, but equal sacrifice. (Matthew 6:21; 2 Corinthians 9:6–8)

Conflict Resolution & Reconciliation

  • If conflict arises, pursue peace in a biblical way. Go directly to the person first, seeking understanding and unity. (Matthew 18:15–17; Romans 12:18)

  • If the issue isn’t resolved, invite your leader or pastor into the process so that a prayerful, mediated conversation can bring restoration and clarity.

  • Our goal is always reconciliation—honoring one another in love and protecting the unity of the Church.

Confidentiality

As leaders, we are entrusted with people’s stories, struggles, and prayer needs. We honor confidentiality and do not share private information without permission, unless necessary for safety, legal reasons, or pastoral care. (Proverbs 11:13)

Leadership Development

Leaders commit to ongoing growth in faith and leadership. We participate in trainings, coaching sessions, and gatherings designed to strengthen our leadership health, character, and effectiveness. (Proverbs 9:9)

Alignment & Agreement

Leadership at U-Turn begins with agreement and alignment, a shared commitment to live out the mission of Jesus together. This covenant isn’t about perfection; it’s about walking in unity, humility, and accountability as we lead.

By signing, you affirm that you:

  • Agree with and uphold U-Turn Church’s mission, values, and beliefs as outlined in this covenant.

  • Agree to invite and receive accountability from pastors and leaders so that you can continue to grow in your faith, character, and leadership as a disciple of Jesus.

  • Choose to lead with integrity, unity, and love, serving as a culture-carrier and representative of U-Turn Church both publicly and privately.

  •

This covenant represents both your personal devotion to Jesus and your partnership in the mission of U-Turn Church.

“Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

– Colossians 3:17
